VHS Summer School

Summer 2010 - Virtual High School summer school sessions are now closed. Please visit our 2010/2011 course catalog for available courses starting in September 2010.

Virtual High School Summer School is for students who:

  • need to make up credits to graduate on schedule;
  • have other commitments and need flexible scheduling;
  • want to prepare for a future course of study;
  • could benefit from a different learning environment.

VHS-trained teachers conduct the online classes which are designed for approximately 90 minutes of instruction per day (Monday through Friday). Students can take VHS Summer School courses any time, any place, allowing for greater flexibility in their summer plans.

Summer School courses are offered in four week sessions and are designed to provide students with enrichment or credit recovery for one high school semester. VHS offers two recurrent sessions of the same summer school courses. VHS also offers an extended summer session, which is 8 weeks in length, and is intended for year long credit recovery. Registration fees - $225 for 4-week courses and $400 for 8-week courses.

Note: Enrollment for all summer school sessions is now closed. Please visit our 2010/2011 course catalog for available courses starting in September 2010.

Note: Withdrawals/refunds must be requested prior to the first day of class; no tuition refunds will be granted once a class session has begun.

Session I & II courses are designed to recover one high school semester course. Extended Summer Session courses are designed to recover a full year of academic credit. If a student is on a special education plan and needs accommodations it is the responsibility of the student and/or student's parents to notify the VHS instructor during the first week of class so that arrangements can be made.

Dates, course offerings and additional registration information is available in the Program Description – a two page PDF file (34KB) that includes a program summary and course overviews.
