Students can take VHS online Summer School any time, any place –allowing for greater flexibility in your summer plans.

VHS Summer School students get the flexibility of an online class, the support of their own teacher, and the chance to participate in lots of discussions and interactions with online classmates.

Why VHS Summer School

Virtual High School’s Summer School courses are great for students who

  • need to make up credits to graduate on schedule
  • have other commitments and need flexible scheduling
  • want to try an online course while their schedule is less demanding, or
  • are looking to stay academically engaged during the summer months.

How it Works

Summer school students access their VHS course from a computer with an internet connection. Up to 25 students complete the course together in a virtual class. A VHS-trained teacher posts assignments and provides guidance and support.

Students spend about 90 minutes a day Monday through Friday, on their own schedule, completing the assignments, working together on projects, and contributing to online discussions.

2012 Schedule

The 2012 VHS Summer School schedule will include 2 recurring 4-week sessions for one semester of credit and 1 8-week session for full year credit.
