Virtual High School (VHS) teachers are the most experienced and thoroughly prepared online teachers in the world.

All VHS teachers meet NCLB requirements and are certified to teach in their course disciplines.

Before teaching a VHS online course, all VHS faculty members must successfully complete a challenging graduate level professional development course.

Based on a poll of Virtual High School teachers taken in 2002:

• 85 percent of VHS teachers hold master’s degrees
• 19 percent of VHS teachers hold master’s degrees plus additional credits, or doctorate degrees
• VHS teachers have an average of 16 years teaching experience.
