For Parents

If your child needs to fit an extra class into an already full schedule, needs a class which is not available locally, or simply enjoys using technology and wants the challenge and flexibility of a high-quality online class, Virtual High School can help.

Virtual High School students have the opportunity to select from a full catalog of semester-length and full-year courses including core, elective, advanced placement (AP) and Pre-AP courses.

How will my child benefit from VHS?

Through VHS, your child will:

  • Take one or more high school classes online, entirely over the internet
  • Enjoy small class sizes and low student to teacher ratios
  • Engage in unique collaboration opportunities with peers from around the world
  • Take advantage of the flexibility of VHS courses which can take place anywhere, anytime
  • Participate in courses that are highly desired, yet are not typically offered locally.

How can my child participate?

  • If your school is already a VHS member, please contact your local VHS site coordinator or school principal for information on how your child can participate.
  • Students whose schools are not VHS members can enroll in VHS courses on an individual tuition basis, or help introduce their school administration to VHS offerings. As VHS partners with degree granting schools, VHS does not grant GED or high school diplomas
    • Please call, 1-978-450-0431 to enroll your high school student (individual student tuitions only) into a VHS online course.
  • Please contact VHS member recruitment to request additional information on membership options.

Left Quote She is learning at a fascinating rate and really seems to enjoy the nature of the course as well as how it is presented in the VHS style. She has always been a pretty hard worker, but I think she puts more effort into her VHS course than any of her others. Right Quote
