What is a Site Coordinator?

The Site Coordinator has a key role in the success and smooth operation of VHS on the local level. He or she manages all technical and administrative issues related to VHS and serves as the primary contact person between the school and the VHS National Office.

Site Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Technology: Working with local technical staff and VHS tech support to ensure VHS participants have access to the necessary technical resources.
  • Administration: Working with the local school administration to recruit eligible students, coordinate and implement local VHS grading and registration, and monitor student progress.
  • Communication: Maintaining contact with the VHS National Office, students, VHS teachers, the local school administration, and parents.

Site Coordinator Orientation

All Site Coordinators are required to complete the Site Coordinator Orientation (SCO) before assuming the site coordinator position.
