I want everyone to know that this year has been the best professional development year for me in 27 years of teaching. I not only feel part of a new wave of education, but I feel that I have re-fallen in love with my subject - biology. By developing my course, I have had the opportunity to introspectively analyze what I am teaching, why I teach in the way I do, and how I can change and improve my communications with students. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity afforded me by the VHS at this point in my career.
