Site Coordinator Orientation (SCO)

Course Description

The Virtual High School Site Coordinator Orientation (SCO) teaches local Site Coordinators to effectively administer Virtual High School courses at their school. This course is for Site Coordinators from both fully participating and student-only schools.

Learning Objectives

  • monitor student progress;
  • view and report student grades;
  • recruit and register students for Virtual High School (VHS) courses;
  • coordinate materials and resources;
  • navigate the VHS course platform;
  • utilize the VHS faculty web site to reference VHS policies and procedures.

Participation Requirements

The Site Coordinator Orientation is a four-week, online professional development NetCourse taken entirely over the Internet. Participants should expect approximately five hours of coursework per week.

Graduate Credit

This course is eligible for two graduate credits from Plymouth State University.
