TITLE: Curriculum and Instruction Assistant
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Curriculum and Instruction Assistant reports to the Director of Curriculum and Instruction and is responsible for providing support to the Curriculum and Instruction Team and to the overall VHS organization as needed. Primary responsibilities include coordination of VHS course materials, creation of professional development certificates for educators, organization of webinars for VHS teachers, and proofreading and editing of course documentation.This is a full-time, full-year, in-office position located in Maynard, MA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Collect teacher demographic data and ensure data is up-to-date and accurate
· Organize webinars for VHS teachers, including scheduling of sessions, confirmation of attendance, and follow-up
· Produce and distribute completion certificates for professional development graduates
· Produce and distribute transcripts for students
· Produce and distribute transcripts for summer school students
· Oversee media kit process including the VHS Media Tracking System, and work with Registrar to assist schools whose kits were not returned
· Maintain an inventory of VHS in-house course materials and track shipping and receipt of these materials
· Order new course materials (media kits) for any VHS sponsored courses as needed
· Monitor course catalog for consistency of course materials between course sections
· Scan hard copy materials to PDF as needed for placement in VHS sponsored courses
· Assist with Best Practices professional development course enrollment logistics
· Proofread VHS courses as assigned, and edit grammar, font, and spelling as directed
· Provide assistance as needed to the VHS Curriculum and Instruction team and VHS staff members as required
· Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously to completion
· Able to take and follow directions
· Excellent written communication skills
· Organized, thorough and self-motivated
· Self-motivated with sound judgment and the ability to problem solve
· Quick learner, able to learn new technologies as directed
· The ability to work quickly and efficiently using technology tools
· Strong computer skills, including expertise using MS-Office Suite
· Ability to work in a highly interactive team environment

· Experience working in an educational or online environment a plus but not required.
STARTING SALARY: $25,000-$30,000
