TITLE: Educational Project Manager
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Educational Project Manager manages cross-functional projects within budget and timeline constraints, to successful completion. This position is responsible for managing a variety of high profile education/grant projects and reports to the VHS President and CEO. This is a full-time, full-year, in-office position located in Maynard, MA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provides project leadership and management on special educational projects and grant efforts. Ensures designated project goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed timeframes and budget constraints and project sponsors are well informed of project status. Provides project management reports and general assistance to President and CEO as requested.
· Determines resource allocation for projects and works with functional managers to ensure resources are available to meet project needs.
· Drives to resolution all project-related issues, developing alternatives and recommendations.
· Creates and manages project plans to communicate and track project timelines, milestones, costs and deliverables.
· Develops required internal and external communications to inform all constituents of project status.
· Escalates project issues to senior management.
· Works closely with identified project teams as well as operational managers to perform detailed analysis and produce reports.
· Assists departments in identifying opportunities for improvement.
· Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's Degree in Business, Education, or related field required.
· Minimum three years project management experience. Experience in education industry is strongly preferred. Experience working in an international environment and/or with IB courses and global constituents is preferred.
· Highly organized and able to handle multiple priorities and projects.
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
· Must be detail-oriented.
· Proficiency with systems and a variety of software applications.
· Ability to work in a highly interactive team environment.
· Positive, customer-first attitude and strong work ethic.
STARTING SALARY: $50,000-$65,000
