TITLE: School Development Coordinator

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The School Development Coordinator is a member of the Global Services team. The Coordinator will generate revenue by owning recruitment/sales activities. The Coordinator will assist with event management, marketing, communications and public relations as well as the tracking to completion of all new applicant enrollments. This is a full-time position located in Maynard, Massachusetts. Travel is required, including some weekend travel related to conferences.

Responsibilities:

Sales and Marketing Support

  • Generate new account contacts and maintain all in-bound inquiries and customer follow-ups
  • Manage territory to achieve all sales goals
  • Travel to conduct sales calls, and to both attend and present at national Educational conferences and regional events (estimate 30-35% travel)
  • Increase sales of new programs and offerings to existing accounts
  • Research markets in assigned territory and identify sales opportunities
  • Track and follow up with new applicant professional development enrollments
  • Employ effective use of the telephone and web conference tools to develop leads, schedule appointments and close sales
  • Create proposals to develop and close sales
  • Maintain account records in VHS’s membership recruitment database
  • Prepare weekly sales call reports and sales activity funnel reports
  • Provide market feedback, competitive information, product/services input, etc.
  • Event Support

  • Assist with conference and sales recruiting events for VHS
  • Work with VHS personnel to develop conference topic ideas and manage event calendars
  • Write and submit conference proposals, papers, poster sessions, panel presentations, etc
  • Help with management of logistics for all events (shipping materials, registrations, travel arrangements, etc.) as needed
  • Communications Support

  • Work with VHS team members to update VHS website to accurately reflect the VHS Inc sales and marketing message
  • Assist with the management of the printing , distribution and inventory management of VHS media, including brochures, pamphlets, and advertisements
  • Work on press releases, mailing, and printing of all marketing materials as needed.
  • Other special projects as required.

  • The ability to explain a complex service and business relationship
  • The ability to manage a long sales cycles involving multiple decision makers and influencers
  • Strong project management skills
  • Computer literacy including use of Windows, Microsoft Office; Lotus Notes and Sales Force experience preferred
  • Sound judgment, discernment and the ability to problem solve
  • Ability to work in a highly interactive team environment
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral
  • Winning interpersonal skills and the ability to deliver compelling presentations to a variety of audiences
  • Persistence and the motivation to overcomes obstacles, improve skills, and achieve goals
  • The selected candidate will close opportunities by learning and addressing client needs and concerns, while consistently moving the client toward commitment
  • Ability to develop and foster client and networking relationships as a means of generating referrals
  • A proven track record of attaining challenging sales goals and managing accounts within a designated territory
  • Represents the highest levels of honesty and integrity
  • BA/BS degree and 2+ years of direct sales experience.
