All VHS courses are designed by experienced high school classroom teachers familiar with the difference between a standard and an honors course.
The qualities that differentiate an honors class from a standard class at your school (difficulty of material and concepts, heightened expectation of student effort and achievement, more rapid pace of instruction - reading the novel in one week as opposed to one month, etc.) also differentiate an online VHS honors class.
Virtual High School recommends that VHS courses be given the same weight and be calculated toward a student’s GPA in the same manner as would a course of a similar level at your school.
